The Prom Queen - October 19, 2011
Posted: October 19, 2011 | Last Revised: October 19, 2011

Jeanie was elected "Prom Queen," her senior year at Castleford High School. Back in the 60's, the younger students looked to the older students as role models. Jeanie was a cheerleader, sang in the sextet, and was involved in everything. She was friendly, kind, and her "twinkling brown eyes" and "genuine smile" said it all. We all continued to admire Jeanie throughout her life. Her continued faith when life wasn't fair to her was a testimony to her belief in God. She will be missed very much by everyone who knew and loved her.

This was written in memory of Jeanie...

I did not leave you
I just went to my other home
Some place I will not be alone
Don't be sad for me
It's smiles I want to see

I did not leave you
Our days on earth are few
I'm waiting here for you

I did not leave you
I will always be there
Every tear I am there to share
I have to go now, you see
God's Angels are calling for me

I did not leave you
I'm waiting here for you
