Alan Scott Brooks, 66, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on May 26, 2026, at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Alan was born on February 11, 1960, in Ellenville, New York. He spent his early years in his home state before moving around throughout his life but finally settling in Idaho later in life, embracing the beauty and opportunities of his new surroundings.

Alan was a man of many passions and talents. Known as a true "jack of all trades," he approached life with curiosity and skill. He found immense joy in the great outdoors, whether exploring nature or simply appreciating its tranquility. Above all, Alan cherished his family, holding them close to his heart. He also had an adventurous spirit, loving to travel and explore different places, always finding a way to enjoy life to its fullest.

He is survived by his devoted live-in partner, Emmy Carroll of Twin Falls; his children, Coy Brooks of Savannah, GA, Amber (Caleb) Billingsly of Savannah, GA, and Kenny Brooks of Twin Falls. Alan was a proud grandfather to Braxton, Makenzie, and Liam Hope, all of Savannah, GA. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert Brooks of Ellenville, New York, and his sister, Stacey McCabae of New York, New York. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Bailor of Niagara Falls, NY, and Richard Brooks of New Paltz, NY, and his sister, Shirley of Texas.
