With heavy hearts, we must say goodbye to our dear Husband, Father, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, and Friend, Aubrey (Bud) Faye Anderson. He peacefully passed away on January 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bud was born on April 1, 1940, in Payette, Idaho, to George and Iva Anderson and went to school in Weiser, Idaho. Following high school, Bud joined the Army but was only able to serve a short time at boot camp due to knee injuries. He then went on to have a fulfilling 35-year career at Idaho Power in Twin Falls, retiring as a dedicated mechanic and shop manager.
Bud’s passion for wood and tools introduced him to the love of his life, Angie, in 1991. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on January 11, 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Nelson Anderson, and children – Greg Anderson (Karen), Jeff Anderson (Tricia), Clifford Anderson (Velinda), stepdaughter Tennille Springer, and grandchildren – Alexandra, Rhen, Andrew, Sykala, Payton, Tyler, Skye, Ciarra, Kiteah, Bailey, Timber, Thad, Venice, and Sheahlei, Emma, Bethany, Brennan along with 16 great-grandchildren. Father-in-law Earl D. Nelson and Mother-in-law Susie Ann Nelson, brother Donald Anderson, Darrell Anderson (Wilma), sisters Audrey Hatten (Danny), Dorthy Stoneman. Brothers-in-law Earl G. Nelson, Kyle Hoadley, Sisters-in-law Susan Larsen Nelson and Lori Hoadley, and many loving Nieces and Nephews.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, George and Iva Anderson, brothers Larry Anderson and wife Irene and Pete Anderson, sister Arlene Strawn and husband Brian, sister-in-law Deloris Anderson, brother-in-law Joe Stoneman, Chuck Hatten and daughter Angela Anderson Whittemore.
Bud's hands were his tools of love and skill. He took immense pride in his woodworking projects, crafting everything from furniture to kitchen cabinets. His dedication to carpentry, cabinetry, and mechanical expertise was continuously shared with family and friends. Beyond his workshop, Bud found solace in the great outdoors, including his passions for camping, four-wheeling, fishing, and hunting. He also loved country music, especially playing and singing Hank Williams songs, and surrounding himself with antiques he loved to collect.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. with a funeral service to celebrate Bud's life on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. Both the viewing and the service will be held at Wilks Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho, 83301.
We would like to thank Dr. Vaughn Harris and Visions Home Health & Hospice for their loving care of him.
