Barbara Jean Davis

July 16, 1960 — March 5, 2021

Barbara Jean Marizza Davis was born on July 16th, 1960 In Joliet, Illinois. She was the fourth child of Ray and Connie Marizza. She was such a tiny baby that Dad nicknamed her “Sweet Pea”. The name Sweets stuck with her for the rest of her life. She left us on March 5th, 2021. She fought the good fight, fiercely and bravely. Barbara grew up in Rupert, Idaho. Life was a little rough to start but she had three amazing boys who she protected and loved so much. Then, out of the blue, she met her soulmate and love of her life, Neal Davis. Her life really began when they met and married. She gained another son and daughter and Neal took her sons as his own. They moved to Kimberly and raised their family. She loved to garden, plant flowers, and play with her fur babies. Her backyard deck was her sanctuary. Many summer parties were celebrated there. It was the perfect place for everyone, she made sure of that. In true Italian tradition, she made sure there was enough yummy food for an army. She would ask all of the boys’ friends, neighbors and anyone else who wanted to have a great meal. Everyone was welcome. She was extremely generous and kind. She would cook Italian meals for the health care workers who were treating her. Who does that? She was a truly faithful friend. Barb would text everyone to see how they were doing. But in true Italian fashion, she would tell you the truth and hold nothing back. She left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege to know her. There is so much we are going to miss without her but we know she is with Papa and relatives that have gone before us. I’m sure it was a very loud welcoming. She was at peace when she left us with a remarkable faith in God. Barbara left behind her mother Connie Marizza, soulmate and husband of 34 years, Neal Davis, sons, Dave Davis, Mitch Davis, (Bella), Paul Davis (Christi) Kyle Davis (Tasha), and Megan Perez (Juan) all of Boise, her sisters Pam Marizza, Arizona, Peggy Marizza (TL), Rupert, and brothers Steve Marizza (Cindy), Reno, Nevada, and Ray Marizza, Jr. , Kimberly, Idaho, also 12 grandchildren, her best friends Lisa “Ma Pizer” Sibbett, Connie Griswold, Bonnie Pollard and many relatives in Illinois and Colorado. Barbara requested no services at this time. We will celebrate her life on her birthday in July. Special thanks to all the St. Luke’s doctors and nurses who cared for Barbara. Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and Missed beyond measure. Godspeed Sweets
