Carla Glenn

May 13, 1962 — February 20, 2022

Our angel, Carla Marie Glenn, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 20th, 2022. Carla was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on May 13th, 1962 to Gene Glenn and Ruth Bilbao. She was the heart and soul of her family and was deeply loved by everyone, but no one more than her sisters, Julie Ann and Jeannine. Carla always lived her life to the fullest and taught us how to love unconditionally. With the support of Sister Monique, she attended St. Edward’s Catholic school and went on to graduate from Twin Falls High School. She was active in gymnastics and in 1983 was invited to attend the International Special Olympics, where she won a silver medal. For 20 years, Carla worked as a daycare assistant helping with the babies at Kalico Kid’s. After retirement, Carla spent her winters in Kona, Hawaii with her parents, Ruth and Gene, whom she loved very much. Carla was happiest being with her family and many friends. She enjoyed hula and jota dancing to Hawaiian and Basque music, driving the golf cart on excursions with her parents and later on during her visits to Arizona, and travelling to many places. Her travels included both international and statewide destinations. Carla could be found with a smile on her face cruising down Blue Lakes with the music up and the windows down, attending the Twin Falls summer band concerts, and going for a passion fruit iced tea. Carla loved to sit on the lanai in Hawaii with a cocktail in her hand and enjoy the beautiful sunset. She will be deeply missed by those who love her. Everyone has a special memory about their precious time with Carla. She is survived by her sisters Julie Ann Wildman (Bob), Jeannine Berriochoa (Randy), nephew and nieces Wesly, Amaya (Thomas), Kattalina, and Kristiana, and her great-niece and nephew Soloa and Maceo. Services will include a rosary on Friday, February 25th at 7pm at Parke’s Funeral Home and a funeral mass will be offered at St. Edwards Catholic Church by Father Julio Vicente and Prior Boniface Lautz at 11am on Saturday February 26th. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Carla’s family would like to extend a special thank you for the compassionate care provided by Hospice Visions. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Carla’s name to the Gooding Basque Association (P.O.
