Carla Jean Wilson

December 12, 1948 — September 26, 2025

Jerome

Carla Jean Wilson, born December 12, 1948, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Carl and Marge Felton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 26, 2025.

Carla grew up in southern Idaho and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1967. Carla’s path led her to the Arctic Circle after high school, where she met the love of her life, Theodore C. Wilson. The two were married on October 26, 1968, and together they built a family before parting ways in 1992. She went on to work at Albertsons before dedicating 23 years to O’Leary Middle School, where she managed the cafeteria and cared for generations of students and staff.

Carla is survived by her loving sons: Troy and his wife Christi Wilson of Corvallis, Oregon; Jason Wilson and Andrea Brown of Jerome, Idaho; and Shane Wilson of Twin Falls, Idaho. She was a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren: Brock and Tristan Wilson (Troy), Ariana, Peyton, and Paige Wilson (Jason), and Sophia and Sam Wilson, Michelle Revels, Todd Keyes, and Alyssa Keyes (Shane).

Carla is also remembered by her sister, Peggy Peterson, and Peggy’s daughters: Denise Hofstetter (with her husband Otmar and their son Magnum), and Lana McKenzie (with Mike McKenzie and their daughter Myla McKenzie).

Carla’s feisty personality and warmth drew people to her. She delighted in spending time with family and friends, especially at card games like Pinnacle, 31, Gin Rummy, and 21, where her quick wit and infectious laughter left lasting memories. Her final years were spent making new friends and cherishing time with others at Serenity. She also had a deep love and affection for her pets—Sassy, Sugarbear, and Gidget—who brought her great joy and companionship.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her love, and the joy she brought to her family, friends, and all who knew her. Carla would always say, “I love you the mostest.” And now, we want her to know—we love her the mostest, too.

The family will be holding a celebration of Carla’s life at a later date.
