Christine Dianne Schneider

August 23, 1959 — December 19, 2020

Christine Dianne Schneider, age 61, of Camp Verde, Arizona, passed away in her new home located in Twin Falls, Idaho, on December 19th, 2020 following a diagnosis of metastatic cancer in the fall of 2019. Christine was born in Itazuke A.F.B., Fukuoka, Japan on August 23rd, 1959 to Robert Lee and Betty June (Kennedy) Minner. She spent her early years traveling between Japan, Taiwan, California and finally Arizona. She graduated from Coconino High School in Flagstaff, Arizona and later graduated from Empire State College in New York with a bachelor degree in nursing after challenging the program and passing with a near perfect score. Christine met her husband Robert John Schneider in the Arizona State University cafeteria kitchen, where they worked while attending college. They were married on August 31st, 1979 in Mesa, Arizona and sealed at the LDS Mesa Temple on September 6th, 1980. Beloved Grandmother, Mother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Coworker. Christine was an incredibly caring, strong, intelligent, talented, respected and steadfast woman. Many lives were saved and made better for having her in it. Her desire to protect family, to bring peace to others and motivation to move mountains netted her many titles – EMT and Paramedic for Coconino/Maricopa Counties, EMT and Paramedic for Guardian Air (Flagstaff, AZ), ER nurse, Head RN, Northern Arizona EMS coordinator, FIRST Robotic Organizer and Sponsor, FIRST Lego Robotic Sponsor/Teacher, Camp Verde EMS Volunteer, Camp Verde School Board Member and finally Hospice Nurse. Christine was active member of the LDS church and often called to roles such as Relief Society President, Nursery Leader, Primary President and Teacher. Her experiences encouraged her to work on making her peace with God and she looked forward to being with her eternal family in heaven. She loved her Heavenly Father, his Son, Jesus Christ and knew that this life was impermanent. Her greatest joy was her family and husband Robert. They worked together, went through some very difficult times, but became better people together. They shared a passion for medicine and adventured while working in Northern Arizona while renovating a home in Camp Verde to house their future hopes and dreams. Only tragedy and disease caused her early retirement and role reversal from Hospice nurse to patient. Difficulty was a constant companion to her life; she was brave in her decision to accept breast cancer, in fall of 2016, and face it while working to retirement. She was herculean to face sudden appearance of cancer in the fall of 2019. With her diagnosis of metastatic malignancy imminent, for the sake of family, she and Robert uprooted one final time to her children in Idaho. Christine is outlived by her beloved husband Robert John S., three children John Abram S., Kent Jason S. (married to Marie Dane-Schneider and their 2 children Eloise Christine S., and Riley Dresden S.), and Tabetha Marie S. She is survived by her sisters Gale St. Andre, Sephra Minner and brother Alan Minner. Predeceased by her parents Robert Lee (2020) and Betty June (2013). A private viewing will be held on December 29th, 2020, from 5-7 P.M., at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID. A Graveside Service is scheduled at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Filer, ID on December 30th, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
