Clifford Coale Walker, 87, passed away, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, after a short stay at Chardonnay Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho. Cliff was born in Washington, D.C., and as a child grew up in Long Beach and Rolling Hills, California. Cliff graduated from Claremont McKenna College (Business) in 1960. He was part of the ROTC in college and went into the Army as a 1st Lt. Armor, 1st MTB, 37th Armor, 4th Armored Division. He was a tank commander stationed in Germany during the early 60’s for four and a half years, 1961-1965.
Cliff lived in California, Texas, Colorado, and Idaho during his life. He was a business owner of a print shop in Houston, Texas and had his own accounting company in Denver, Colorado.
Cliff was a member of Claremont Alumni Association and E. Clampus Vitus.
Cliff’s true love was as a musician with many bluegrass and dixieland bands. He played the banjo, guitar, and horn and wrote music. In Cliff’s younger days growing up in California, he was a horse lover and an avid golfer, hoping to go pro one day. He loved golf throughout his life. He earned a pilot's license in Houston. He loved to read and was the master of jokes. Lastly, he was a true friend to many during his life.
Cliff was preceded by his parents, Armond M. Walker from Texas and Emily Coale from Nebraska.
Survived by his beloved partner of thirty-five years, Judy Coryell, Ronny Walker, mother of his son, Brian Coale Walker and wife Suzette, step daughters; Jeannette Lee and her husband Les, Colette Simms and her husband Rich, Nicole Tamminga (deceased) and her husband John, Five step grandchildren (Michael Simms, Ryan Laning, Blake Lee, Troy and Luke Tamminga and two great grandchildren (Liam and Penelope Simms) and several Walker family members in Texas. Judy Coryell’s daughter, Janie and her husband Scott Missman and their children, Sarah, Brian and Kevin.
