Clyde M. Richmond

Clyde M. Richmond, 91, of Filer, Idaho, passed away at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Clyde was born on October 20, 1934, to Ray and Flora Richmond in Buhl, Idaho. He went to Maroa County School, north of Filer, and later to Filer High School. When his parents moved to the Lucerne area, he went to Buhl High School, where he later graduated from in 1954. Shortly after his graduation, he met and later married Cheri Anderson. They were blessed with two children: Jim and Jeff. The couple later divorced.

Clyde worked as a millwright throughout his life and honed the trade in Hawaii. Clyde had jobs all over working as a millwright. He worked in California, Oregon, Texas, and Idaho, along with many other places he traveled to.

After a trip he took to Hawaii for work, when he returned home, he met the love of his life, Darlene Murri. They were married shortly after and from this union, Clyde was blessed with another son, and they named him Travis. Clyde and Darlene spent 58 years together, with neither one of them separated from each other.

If you had the opportunity to meet Clyde, you would have gained a lifelong friend. He had a pied piper personality. He had an easy-going personality and liked by everyone who he encountered.

Clyde and Darlene bought a home with some acreage that kept him busy with maintaining the property. He was often found manufacturing different items. He was a talented man and could fix anything. If he couldn’t fix or find the needed part, he would invent it or build it from scratch to get the parts he needed to fix whatever it was he was needing to fix. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do with wood, metal, and the like.

Clyde is survived by his wife; Darlene Richmond, his sons; Jim (Sherry) Richmond, Jeff (Mona) Richmond, Travis (Dale) Richmond, his 8 grandchildren, his 17 great-grandchildren, and his 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Elaine (Derl) Mason and Juanita (Barry) Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Flora Hahn and Ray Richmond.

A viewing for Clyde will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. Clyde’s graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Filer Cemetery, 2350 East 4000 North, Filer, Idaho 83328.
