Connie Sue Hill

July 4, 1934 — September 26, 2022

Our loving mother and grandma, Connie - 88 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on September 26, 2022. Connie was born on the 4th of July, 1934, to Earnest and Irene Wheeler in Buhl, Idaho. She was raised in Buhl and graduated from Buhl High School. Connie married her high school sweetheart Robert Pond Hill, on July 15, 1953 in Elko, Nevada. They resided in Twin Falls County for 5 years, then moved to the Bay Area in California. They moved back to Twin Falls County in 1970 with four children, Merrisssa, Gayle, Niki and Robert Jr. Connie farmed with her husband for many years before they became owner-operator truck drivers. She retired from Cactus Petes in 1995 to become involved with the affairs of the elderly. Many life adventures awaited Connie and she met them head-on with an abundance of mercy and grace. Water-skiing with her family, motorcycle tours with her in-laws (Win & Dian Hill), deep sea fishing with her favorite brother-in-law (Rich and Ray), camping, family reunions and hanging out with her sister (Marleen). A lot of day trips with her husband exploring many trails with her favorite being the Oregon-California trails. Mom's springtime motto was "one person's junk is another person's treasure" and off she would go with her daughter or granddaughter in tow. She always "Scored" something for someone in her family. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2018, her parent's Ernest and Irene Wheeler, step-dad - Jason Stigall, and her beautiful niece Myleea Robertson. She is survived by her sister Marleen (Bob) Hamilton, daughters - Merrissa Engelhart, Gayle Jacobsen, Niki Hranac, son - Robert Jr. (Bonnie) Hill, 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren. Loving nieces Jamie, Corrina, Denyse, nephews - Terry, Sage and her wonderful extended family who all loved her very much and will miss her more. This woman who loved and adored her family will be honored with a Celebration of Her Life in the spring of 2023.
