Cristian Noe Mendivil was born on December 12, 1994, to Noe and Hilda Mendivil. He spent his early childhood in Buhl, Idaho, alongside his siblings Esteban and Martha. After the loss of their father, the family moved to Hagerman, where Cristian continued to grow up surrounded by family. As the years went on, the family grew with the arrival of his younger sisters, Isabella and Nayeli. Cristian loved all of his siblings deeply, each in their own special way. He shared a unique bond with every one of them and was always the protective, playful big brother, someone they could laugh with, lean on, and look up to.
He attended Hagerman schools through his freshman year and was passionate about athletics. Cris played football, wrestled, ran track, and was dedicated to weightlifting. His strength both physical and personal was evident from a young age.
Cristian proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and, though later medically discharged, he carried the discipline and camaraderie he found there with him throughout his life.
In McCall, Idaho, he found his path again, reconnecting with his high school sweetheart , Briana Heidecker-McGhee. Together for over two decades in love , they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Gracelyn Marie Mendivil, on July 22, 2019, and tied the knot finally on October 5, 2020. Their bond was full of heart, humor, and shared purpose. They loved to travel and show their daughter the beautiful world around. They built a life full of love, and adventures starting with a home in Buhl before returning to McCall, where they created a warm and welcoming space for their family and friends.
Cris worked for CC Painting before going on to establish his own company, CPS Painting. He was a hardworking and skilled craftsman, known for his reliability and pride in a job well done. Whether it was work-related or someone needing help with something at home, Cris was always just a phone call away, dependable, generous, and never too busy to show up for the people he cared about.
Cristian was a deeply loved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Cris was always surrounded by friends and thrived in the company of those he cared about most. His greatest joy came from spending time with Gracie, whether he was out shooting, barbecuing, snowboarding, soaking in the hot springs, fishing, riding dirt bikes or motorcycles, or simply hanging out at home. He had a way of making every gathering feel like family and every moment feel meaningful.
His infectious smile and unforgettable laugh could light up any room, and his presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. He will be remembered for his loyalty, his generous spirit, and the love he gave so freely.
Cristian’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
