Daniel Tuttle

Danny was born February 4th, 1954 to Delos and Erline Tuttle in Colorado Springs, Colorado. An army brat, his childhood was spent in such diverse locals as Panama Canal; Nieder-Olm Germany; Ft. Sill, Oklahoma; Frankfurt Germany; Winthrop, WA and Yuma, Arizona before his father retired from active duty and made a permanent home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Danny worked a variety of jobs throughout his life including building gun stocks; oil and gas exploration, (Seismic Crew); Acme Manufacturing in Filer where he learned the skills and love for working with metal, (his gratitude for that portion of his life were expressed to last months of his life); driving trucks and building custom microphone stands before finding his true calling as a caregiver at Port of Hope, then to WDB for the last 22 years before retirement in Twin Falls. His hobbies, all practiced with talent and discipline, included precision shooting, gunsmithing, knife making, metal forging, metal fabrication and woodwork. He loved both the work of engineering and learning how things were made or worked. He played a wicked guitar and bass. Danny played in bands, including : “Ally Cats Blues Band”, “Stormcro”, and “4 on the Floor.” Upon becoming a Christian he played in the worship teams at Church. Being an avid Gun enthusiast he taught Fire Arm safety classes, hunter safety classes, Idaho Enhanced concealed weapon classes, and loved to take people hunting and shooting especially his family. As far as romance goes, he told the story of listening to this woman sing Amazing Grace at a birthday celebration and decided he was going to marry her… which is just what happened. She came as a package deal with 5 children, all of whom grew to love him. This year marked 35 years of a deeply loving and growing relationship. Ending with his belief they had truly become one. He was highly intelligent, and a man of few words. He would make profound comments, while also serving rapid puns during long trips. Danny is preceded in death by his parents: Delos and Erline Tuttle, and brother Bill Tuttle. He’s survived by Bill’s widow: Cheryl; by siblings: Terri; Jimmy, (Kenya , Krisa, Jamie, Carson), Sean (Jay, Michael); his wife, Becky. The children and Grandchildren from his little family: Meriha, (Steve, Bella, and Gabi;) Aaron, (Caden, Emmerson); David, ( Amber, Alex and Dora); Giovanni, ( Heather, Eli, Meriha, James); Angel, (Joe, Patrick, Mecco, Tre). He and Becky “adopted” Peggy and Mark. He also leaves behind a caring community consisting of friends, and a Loving church family.
