David Harold Lancaster, age 91, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away surrounded by family on October 4, 2022, of natural causes. He was born in Filer, Idaho on June 22, 1931, to Harold and Phebe Lancaster. He graduated from Filer High School where he met the love of his life, Nancy Shelton. They were married on December 23, 1950, in the Filer Methodist Church. They were married for 71 years.
They were blessed with four children, Kathleen Kay (Dewayne) Gailey, Nancy Jane (Dale) Jackson, Steven Harold (Lois) Lancaster, and David Alan (Janette) Lancaster; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
They moved to the Seattle area for 18 years where David worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company. In 1973 they returned to Idaho. David worked for Acme Manufacturing in Filer and later became a Substance Abuse Counselor for the Port of Hope. He was a proud member of AA. Through his membership in AA and his counseling. He helped many people to attain sobriety. He was "Papa Dave" to many of the AA members
David was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Phebe Lancaster, his brothers, Fred, Dan, and Bob Lancaster; and his Sister, Betty Pfiefle. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, and all four children and all 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Parke's Funeral Home on October 13, 2022. A viewing will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M.; services at 2:00 P.M. Graveside services immediately after at the Filer Cemetery.
