Dianne Marie Birrell, 86, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on December 13, 2025, in the home that she loved, with her family and her faithful dog, Sassy, by her side. She was born February 2, 1939, in Murray, Utah, to John and Midge Cristobal.
Dianne graduated from Jerome High School and later from the Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing, where she followed her calling to care for others, a value that guided her throughout her life.
She devoted her life to caring for others as a nurse, a vocation that reflected her compassion, strength, and generous spirit both throughout her career and well beyond it. Through her kindness and steady presence, Dianne touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She shared a love of travel with her husband, Rich. Together, they created lasting memories on trips to Jamaica, Rome, Greece, Hawaii, Portugal, the Virgin Islands, and Madeira Island, where exploring cultures was a great joy of hers. She loved her 85th birthday trip to see Andrea Bocelli in person.
Dianne found great joy in the outdoors, especially through fishing, camping, and golfing. She had a special love for gardening and took pride in raising beautiful produce, which she generously shared with others. Dianne also expressed her creativity through arts and crafts, thoughtfully creating pieces that became cherished keepsakes for her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving and treasured husband, Richard Birrell; her sons John (Michelle) Climer, Joel (Brandy) Climer, Jim (Shellie) Climer, and Suzy Climer; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Penny (Dave) Stubbs, brothers Skip (Rhonda) Cristobal, and Jim (Anna “Pepper”) Churchman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Midge Cristobal; son Jeffrey Climer; and her brother Richard Cristobal.
Dianne will be remembered for her gentle heart, devotion to her family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life. Her legacy of love, service, and creativity will live on in all who knew her.
A viewing for Dianne will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (MT) at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
