Earl Lavern McBride, age 85, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at the V.A. Hospital in Boise, Idaho on May 4th, 2022, due to an infection. Earl was born in Oswego, Kansas on November 3rd, 1936. He was fifth born of 13 children to John and Opal McBride. Earl loved to take his trolling boat and motorhome fishing and camping and spend time with friends and family. He was an avid hunter in his younger years. After retirement he was a snowbird and enjoyed spending time during the winter in Yuma, Arizona. He was very proud of his service in the United States Navy. He served from 1954 to 1958 and did three pacific tours where he visited many places and saw many things that he loved to tell stories about. He spent 35 years working for the Amalgamated Sugar Company where he worked his way up to become an end foreman and even served as the union president for a few years. Earl was a loving family man and friend and was always willing to help his family and friends. He loved listening to classic country music and watching his brothers play live music. The McBride Brothers band were very well liked and played many shows in the magic valley and elsewhere. Earl was the manager of the band. He was part of a very large family that stayed in close contact and loved one another very much, visiting often and gathering at least three times a year for an annul family reunion, Easter dinner in the South Hills, and Christmas dinner. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him and enjoyed spending time with him. Earl was preceded in death by his siblings Cecil, Esther, John, Charlie, and Bob, his daughters Mona Ray and Michelle, and his granddaughter Heather. He is survived by his two sons David and Eric, his siblings Billy, Alice, Verle, Opal, Jeanie, Tip, and Sue. A memorial service will be held at Parke’s Funeral Home, Twin Falls, Idaho, on June 4th at 2:00 p.m., followed by graveside service at Sunset Memorial Park, and reception with dinner at Park’s Funeral Home.
