IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth "Betsy" B.
Stoll
December 28, 1945 – March 20, 2026
Funeral Service
Our Lady of the Snow's Catholic Church
Starts at 11:00 am (Mountain time)
Elizabeth "Betsy" B. Stoll, 80, of Hailey, Idaho, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at her brother's home in Ketchum, Idaho.
WITH SINCERE GRATITUDE by Betsy B. Stoll
I've lived in Wood River Valley since 1969. I am so grateful for all you special people who have made my life here so incredibly wonderful. There is no better place to live than here.
I was given the very best mother, Liz Glenn, whom many of you knew. She raised four kids to very competent adulthood. I could never had the successful life I have enjoyed without all the important things she taught me. Thanks, Mom!
My family has been blessed with good singing voices. In high school I was taught how to sing in choral groups by Mrs. Jo Lasham, which set me up for the decades of pure joy singing here. I am beyond grateful to our local choir directors Patty Parsons, Dorinda Rendahl, Mary Poppen, Karis Kemp, Mac Steinmac and RL Rowsey, without whom beautiful singing could not have taken place.
Thank you to my personal Pied Piper, Dick Barrymore, whom I followed around the world during our married years together, having adventure upon adventure. Skiing first tracks in endless deep power in the Canadian Rockies, climbing the Matterhorn in Switzrland, filming the World Cup races in Europe and USA, and creating the first Hot Dog Contests. Thank you Dick for these unforgettable memories. But most of all I am grateful to have been Step Mother to Dick's two incredible boys, Blake and Cole Barrymore. Thanks, boys for tolerating my attempts to be your mom. You are very special to me and are indeed my special sons.
Sterling Stoll gets mega thanks and gratitude for the 20 married years we were together. Firstly, since Sterling is Father to my lovely daughter Amy Stoll Chorpenning. And secondly for the business we created in Mexico, building three luxury beach homes and the short term rental business which paid for everything.
Amy, Amy, Amy. You are the light of my life and you own my whole heart and soul. I never thought I'd be a mother and at my ripe old age of 44 you were born and have brought me decades of joy and laughter and adventure. Thank you, Amy for who you are and what you mean to me.
I will carry you in my heart forever. And from now forward, I will be your personal Guardian Angel and watch over you and yours from the Other Side.
Written with Unconditional Love and Gratitude,
Betsy
Mom to Amy, Blake and Cole...
