Frank E. Nelson

My wonderful son, Frank Eugene Nelson, was born September 2, 1967, in Duarte, California, and went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 8, 2026.

Frank grew up in Glendora, California, and attended Foothill Christian School. He later attended CSU San Bernardino, where he earned two bachelor’s degrees one in business and one real estate, along with pursuing other ventures. Education mattered to him, and he applied what he learned with care and discipline.

Frank never married. He chose instead to dedicate his life to caring for his mom. He was more than a devoted son. He was my best friend. I counted on him every day. He woke me each morning at 4 a.m. He was my travel partner, breakfast buddy, taxi driver, protector, and at times a pain in the butt. He was faithful through it all.

As a young boy, Frankie loved baseball and anything tied to adventure. Those interests grew into a lifelong love of golf, skiing, snowboarding, scuba diving, skydiving, and deep-sea fishing. He skied and rode boards in Sun Valley, Idaho. He loved scuba diving in the Caribbean and deep-sea fishing in Mexico. He loved cars, ham radio, and being close to the ocean.

Frank was a member of Blue Lakes Country Club and Jerome Country Club. Golf became a shared passion for Frank and his mom. Together, we traveled the world making memories. We golfed at St. Andrews. We played in New Zealand, Spain, Bali, Ireland, and many times in Mexico. We always looked forward to our annual trips to Hawaii, where we saw friends, shared good meals, and enjoyed fresh air.

Frank loved collecting specialties and meaningful items. Care defined him. His latest joy came from growing plants in his greenhouse. He dreamed of seeing a flower bloom on his Hawaiian plants.

Above all, Frank loved his family with fierce loyalty, and he loved the Lord. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, adventure, faith, and love.

Frank was survived by his mother; Helen Varsha Nelson, sister; Jasminne L. Becerra, brother-in-law; Gilbert Becerra, nieces; Monique Nuechterlein, Alexandria Marin, Raquel Gibson, nephew; Andrew Becerra, great nieces; Hailey Nuechterlein, Alyssa Almonte, Graecyn Stone, great nephews; Ethan Nuechterlein, Jeremiah Becerra, Uriah Gibson, and Nathanael Beccrra, great-great niece; Christianna Elash, and a great-great-great niece Elena Elash.

He was preceded in death by Nora Lopez, Salvador Lopez, Perry Nelson, and Norman Nelson.

Frank will remain forever in our hearts. We will carry a piece of him with us always.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. Frank’s funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11 am at The River Christian Fellowship, 4002 N 3300 E, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301, with a viewing from 10:00 am to 10:45 am, also at the church. Frank will then be laid to rest on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Ketchum Cemetery, 1026 N Main Street, Ketchum, Idaho 83340.
