Obituary

Gloria Gay Clark, 80, of Twin Falls, passed away on June 5, 2026, at Chardonnay Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Our selfless and caring mom, granny, and sister peacefully walked into the arms of Jesus in the late afternoon of June 5 after a battle with dementia.

Gloria was born on September 17, 1945, to Gilbert Sr. and Elizabeth Bruner in Wendell, Idaho. She and her twin brother, Gilbert Jr., joined their three sisters (Edith, Maudie, and Clara). The five siblings were close throughout their childhood and told continuous stories about the love they had from their parents and their joy growing up together.

Gloria graduated from Wendell High School and then obtained her LPN License at St. Benedict’s School of Nursing in Jerome. After that, she enlisted in the United States Army. She was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. She loved her time in the service and talked extensively about it her entire life. She loved her country.

After moving back to Idaho, she worked in a nursing care home and was one of the most compassionate, caring nurses there. She also worked in several other medical settings as well. She loved being a nurse. Later, Gloria got a job at the potato plant in Twin Falls and finished out her career there. She worked in various roles at the plant, including the lab, the line, graveyard shifts, firewatch shifts, etc.

Gloria was blessed with two wonderful children– her daughter, Gloria Lee (Pebbles), and her son Bobby Travis. Both her children were by her side until the very end. They both love their mom so much, and she was the ultimate support to both her kids. No matter what was happening in life, she was there for them both.

Gloria was a Born-again Christian, and constantly talked about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Gloria always had her Bible out at home, and she constantly read books about her faith. As she finished them, she would pass them on so others could read them too. She always had Christian Music playing in the background at home.

Gloria was a silent angel who constantly helped people. So many friends and family members benefited from her quiet acts of kindness, and we’ll never know how many people she helped. She made every person she talked to feel special, whether it was lifelong friends she was passing a book to, or her grandchildren receiving specifically picked cards for holidays. Her ultimate act of kindness was donating one of her kidneys to her twin brother.

Family was everything to Gloria. Whether it was talking on the phone with Pebbles for hours, spending time with Bobby while he worked on cars, or playing in the park with her grandchildren, Gloria always made time for her family.

In addition, Gloria was an incredible seamstress. She handmade Pebbles’ wedding dress, sewed countless sundresses for her granddaughters, and crocheted more afghans and doilies than anyone could count. Her attention to detail was amazing, and her creations will be cherished by her family for years to come.

In 2022, Gloria was diagnosed with dementia and moved into Chardonnay Assisted Living in Twin Falls. While there, she discovered a love for the Grinch, and her whole room was decorated with that theme. She also loved cookies, singing army songs and patriotic songs at the top of her lungs, and telling stories about her army days. The staff loved her spicy personality and will miss her dearly.

Ashley, Shirley, and all the workers at Chardonnay were wonderful to Gloria as she lived out the rest of her life there. Her family is extremely grateful to the entire staff at Chardonnay as well as Enhabit Hospice Care, who took care of her, sang with her, and treated her with dignity until the very end.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Gloria/Pebbles (Scott), and son Bobby (Tiffany), sisters Maudie Blechert and Clara Bruner, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her father (Gilbert Bruner Sr.), mother (Elizabeth Bruner), twin brother (Gilbert Bruner Jr.), and sister (Edith Markel).

Services for Gloria will be announced when all details are available.

Gloria loved her jeans, so casual attire is requested.
