Hailey Joleen Leazer

May 31, 1994 — April 5, 2023

Our Hailey Joleen was born on May 31st, 1994, in Twin Falls Idaho to her father Cory and Mother Kim. Hailey lived the early years of her life with her parents in Twin Falls and attended Kindergarten at Sawtooth Elementary School. Hailey was a happy little girl surrounded by people who loved her. From the time she had teeth, it was mandatory that either mom or dad fix one over medium egg and one piece of toast for breakfast. Following Hailey’s first year of school, Cory and Kim went their separate ways and Kim and Hailey moved to Hansen. However, Hailey maintained a close relationship with Cory, Nana Opal, Papa John, Mimi, Papa Paul, and Lynne, and Aunt Sis and Aunt Dawn. In May of 2001, Kim married Bob and Hailey’s loved ones grew to include 2 new cousins (Haylee & Jordan), a new Aunt and Uncle (Alene & Mike), and a new grandpa and grandma (Bob &Viv). In 2002 the family moved to Kimberly where they still reside today. In addition to her 2 older brothers JR, and Roy. Hailey soon was blessed with 2 little sisters, Jenny and Stephi. Later Cory blessed Hailey with two more little sisters, Ellie and Klowee. Shortly after Bob Legally adopted Hailey. Bob has always been a loving dad to Hailey. He spent way too much money on school clothes and prom dresses over the years so she would have all the things cool kids had. He was there for all her extra-curricular activities, spent many hours teaching her how to drive a stick shift, and even against mom's wishes never even made her eat squash. Hailey received her education in the Kimberly school district until she chose to transfer to Hansen in the 8th grade. Hailey participated in many activities in middle school and high school. Dance, softball, volleyball, student council, and yearbook. Her favorite however was basketball. Probably because outside the watchful eye of the referee it could momentarily be turned into a contact sport. Hailey graduated from Hansen High School in 2012. Shortly after graduation while working at Tonys 2T Auto, Hailey met Jesse. On December 4th, 2013, Jesse and Hailey welcomed to the world their beautiful baby Jace Robert Glen Brown. On July 25th, 2018 the three of them were blessed with a precious baby girl, Aspen Monroe Brown. Jesse and Hailey built a beautiful home in Kimberly in 2019 and in March of 2020, they married in Twin Falls. Jesse and Hailey divorced in late 2021, however, maintained a positive co-parenting relationship for a time. Hailey was a busy, silly, happy child. As a teenager and into adulthood she was friends with everyone. Hailey had an impeccable work ethic, that she learned from Bob. In addition to Tonys 2T Auto, Hailey worked a couple of years at Magic Valley Printing with her dad and several years at Plant Therapy. She always tried to make every situation as much fun as possible. Hailey loved music, Investigation Discovery, Dutch Bros, The Dallas Cowboys, holidays, and animals. She found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her loved ones. A deep spiritual connection with Nana Opal a trip to Montana, California and many other places with Nana Opal and Papa John. Collecting keychains from every state and city along the way. Long walks and talks with her Mimi. A trip to Pocatello to make tamales, learn about her Hispanic heritage, or simply to find solace in a hug from her ever-present Papa Paul. Doing things Mom and Dad wouldn’t let her, getting her first drum set and the hours of conversation and laughter preparing a nursery for Jace with Aunt Sis. Funny stories, fishing trips and beer pancakes with Papa Gary. Going to Jackpot for milk, making a dog house for a pretend dog house number 217, everyday trips in the car to and from school for 3 years, and the comfort of knowing she had her number 1 fan in Gran. Christmas and the fair with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Viv. A trip to the coast, the Rose Garden and many late-night chats full of advice from her “people” Aunt Tracy and Uncle Bill. Nature walks for just a photo op with Cousin Haylee. Getting into trouble for just about everything at grandmas with Cousin Jordan. Many trips to Oregon for weddings, family reunions, and holidays with cousins Affton and Jordan. Babysitting for and rooming with Cousin Candace. Wrecking Aunt Tracy’s car with Cousin Brendan. Making suckers and candy at moms with Cousin CJ. Many lengthy phone conversations and Facebook chats with her 2 brothers JR and Roy, and a visit last July from her brother JR. Getting her first noisy toy (age 1) a pink Minnie mouse bike complete with all the bells and whistles and batteries for life from Uncle Jeff. Receiving one her most treasured possessions (age 3) a ceramic heart necklace with her name on it all the way from (afterensisco) which is how Hailey pronounced San Francisco from her Aunt Laurie. Camping trips, boating, and water skiing with Aunt Shelly, Uncle John and cousin Nick. Spending many nights with, trying to start the neighbor’s car on fire with fireworks, and the knowledge that in his eyes she could do no wrong from Uncle Frank and Mama Steph. A Bengals Steelers game in Pittsburgh and years of other memories with Jesse. Making Christmas cookies with their children every year. Sitting in the same chair texting each other so no one could hear their conversation and many other mischievous teenage acts with her lifelong BFF Marlana. Growing up with, Disney trivia, concerts, yearly camping trips to Lagoon, of course fighting, and hundreds of silly videos with her sisters Jenny and Stephi. A shared love of The Dallas Cowboys and a trip to Louisiana with Uncle Mike. Learning to drive, watching football, singing karaoke, blowing up anything the two of them could get their hands on, on the 4th of July. A senior trip to the Southern United States, holding an alligator for the first time and numerous water fights, a trip to Seattle for a Yankees, Mariners game for Derek Jeter's last season with dad. Meeting Brett Favre. Learning to cook, do laundry and all the other things it takes to care for the people you love. As well as the importance of carrying on the long legacy of strength of the women in her family and everything else, good bad or ugly from mom. Hailey was happy to find her way back to her dad Cory. It was from him she learned her love of the Dallas Cowboys, to bait a hook, throw a baseball, to make the world’s greatest enchiladas, and swing dance. Some of her most recent happy memories came on a trip to Pocatello where she danced in the garage with her dad and stood on a mountain top overlooking the Pocatello Valley with, Dee, Klowee, and her Dad. Hailey cherished all of these moments. But none of them more then every single one she spent with her children. Hailey lived a happy healthy 27 years on this earth. Sadly in the last year of her life she fell victim to unforeseen, and unrelenting demons. At the time of her passing she was thankfully in the safe and loving arms of her Gran. We all have many pictures of Hailey in our minds. Remember we don’t have to keep them all, just the good ones. Just keep the good ones. Hailey you will be forever remembered, loved, and missed. Rest peacefully our sweet girl. She was preceded in death by her papa Gary, her mimi Olethea, and her aunt Jaimee. Her grandma Viv and grandpa Bob. Hailey is survived by her husband Jeffrey, Grandparents Opal, Paul, Linda, and John. Hailey's parents Cory, Kim, and Bob. Her children Jace and Aspen. Her siblings James, Roy, Jenny, Stephi, Ellie, and Klowee. As well as several Aunts and Uncles. A memorial service will be held, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
