James "Jim" H. Deitrick, 69, of Kimberly, Idaho, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at his home in Kimberly, Idaho. Jim was born on May 19, 1956, to Lyle “Buck” and Linda Deitrick in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was the third child of four children born into the family.
Jim attended school in Filer, Idaho, where he graduated in 1974. He then began working for the Floyd Lilly Pump Company shortly after, where he continued to work for the next 40 years and retired in 2022. Jim then met the love of his life, Bonnie Leedom, and they were married shortly after in July of 1983. The couple lived in Filer, and then after their first son, they moved to Kimberly, where they then had their second son and have lived in the same home since.
Jim was never happier than when he was outdoors. He loved the mountains, archery, bowhunting, and camping. Jim was an extremely talented woodworker and was also an incredible photographer.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his fur buddy Riley, of Kimberly, Idaho, his sons; Chad (Misty) Deitrick of Nampa, Idaho, Jerad (Ashley) Deitrick, grandsons; Ryker Deitrick of Nampa, Idaho, Wyatt Deitrick, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Liam Graves of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by many relatives, dear friends, and acquaintances.
He loved many, was loved by many, and will be missed by all.
The family also would like to extend a very special thank you to Stephanie from Horizon Hospice for all of her wonderful care and everything she did for Jim and the family.
An open house will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital in Jim’s honor.
