Jan S. Browne

In honor of Jan Browne Gibson Today we honor one of the choicest daughters, Jan Browne Gibson. She was a joy to all who knew her, and she was called home much sooner than we or she would want. One day when we see her again on the other side we will learn why. But for now, we know she is at peace and can smile and walk and feel well and enjoy all of those family members, and friends who are already there, and who have welcomed her home. We know that she is able to enjoy life again. We know that we will be able to be with her again one day when it is our time to go home. When you talk about Jan, there are so many wonderful qualities she shared with all of us. She was beautiful in Body, Mind and Spirit. She was capable of doing just about anything she put her mind to, and that was a lot! I was always amazed at all the things she could do. She was kind and gentle and she could also tell you what for if that was required. She was an excellent cook and could make just about anything. I loved watching her work – She was amazing. She loved children and animals – especially her “Ollie” parrot, who called her “Grama”. They had a great relationship! She even helped “Ollie” leant to say “Amen” when we had our family prayers at night. I feel she may be playing with “Girlee” right now, again. She was also an excellent cook and would make foods that were so delicious and beautiful too! She loved to clean things and when she got through you knew it was clean. She was easy to talk to and was interested to know about things and learn more. She had a serious sincere interest in learning. She and Eric and I have had some beautiful conversations about many things in life. I loved her sincere gratitude and appreciation and her sweet spirit. She had a way of always bringing joy into our lives. I am so glad she is a part of our family. She has left us with many warm memories, and we look forward to being with her again on the other side. She was a choice daughter to me and perfect companion and sweetheart for Eric. One day their reunion will be eternal, and we all look forward to that day.
