Jerry M. Schmoe Sr., passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 82 at home with family by his side. He was born in Buhl, Idaho to Merl and Marjorie Schmoe. He attended school in Hailey and later also lived in California and Montana. Jerry was a Vietnam era U.S. Army veteran and served as a mechanic at Fort Knox KY. Jerry loved cars from a very early age. He was a master mechanic, and owned and repaired hundreds of vehicles during his lifetime. Transmission repair was his specialty. Jerry was an avid golfer and he enjoyed all sports, especially baseball and basketball.

He is survived by his 5 children; Jerry M. Jr. (Cindy), Angelia Richardson (Robert), Tracy, Jamie (Maria), Gregory (Chris), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters; Shirley Jones, Barbara Petty, Judy Swett, Sandy Wapinski and his brother Ken, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jerry will be laid to rest in the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, 1585 East Elm Street, Buhl, Idaho 83316, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11 am.
