Jim D Lloyd

James Dean Lloyd was born on December 10, 1944, to Max Edgar Lloyd and Alice Marie (Wood) Lloyd in Pocatello, Idaho. He died on June 25, 2025, at 80 years of age in Twin Falls, Idaho.

His childhood was mostly spent in the forests of Idaho and Montana with his parents and his many siblings.

In 1963, he met and in 1964 he married Dolly Veronica Bowman (deceased 1994). Together, they had 4 children; Teresa, Jesse, Julie, and Selena.

In 1999, he met and married Sudjit Sottiyothin (later they divorced). With this marriage, he gained 2 wonderful stepchildren; David and Lisa.

Jim had a multitude of friends as he was a social man and had various interests.

Some of his favorite pastime's include hunting treasures, whether it’s rock hounding, auction houses, antique stores, yard sales, or second hand stores.

His next favorite pastime was “Texas Hold’em Poker”. He hated missing a good game, whether it was in a casino or at the Jackpot Senior Center with the other “well-seasoned card sharks”.

His top favorite pastime was quality time with his grandkids and great grandkids. They would bake cakes together, and then they’d all get to eat it! He simply loved children.

Jim is survived by his children; Teresa Dolly (Dave) Cox in Filer, Idaho, Jesse James Lloyd in Twin Falls, Idaho, Julie Lynn (Jesse) Hofeling in Hollister, Idaho, and Selena Katie Lloyd, in Moscow, Idaho stepchildren; David (Chelsea) Sottiyothin, Utah and Lisa Sottiyothin, Alaska - 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren - his siblings; Stanley Lloyd, Idaho and Linda Harris, Utah - best friend Connie Kittle, Nevada - fellow poker room card sharks and many many other friends and family.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Twin Falls Cemetery located at 2350 4th Avenue East, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
