Obituary

Kathryn Ann Walton

November 2, 1959 – March 12, 2026

Kathryn Ann Walton, 66, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on March 12, 2026, in Kimberly, Idaho.

Kathryn, affectionately known as Kathy, was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, to parents Jack and Betty Walton. She was known for her intelligence and creativity. She was a talented artist, loved playing the piano, and was a straight-A student as well as a proud member of the National Honor Society.

Kathy was remarkably optimistic and always saw the best in people. She was quick to express gratitude for even the smallest acts of kindness and always had a compliment ready for everyone she met. Her favorite expressions were “You just made my whole day” and “You look like you’re 19,” which she shared with both the young and the old.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, her favorites being cheesecake, double cheeseburgers, and Simply Lemonade. Kathy was a lifelong fan of Grease and treasured her larger-than-life poster of John Travolta from the film. In recent years, she also became a passionate admirer of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, often sharing stories about her life and legacy.

Kathy cherished her friendships deeply, considering her sister, Karen, and lifelong friends Sheryl Whitaker and Brenda Allen, her closest companions, and at the care center where she lived, she was a favorite among residents and staff alike.

Despite the challenges she faced, Kathy remained quick to laugh and brought joy to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty Walton.

Kathy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Brian Brose, and her nephews, John and Jack Brose.

A celebration of life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
