Kevin Moss, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 8, 2025, in Kimberly, Idaho. He was born on February 16, 1958, in Jerome, Idaho, and spent much of his life contributing to the agricultural community as a dedicated farm mechanic, a profession he embraced until his 50s. After leaving mechanics, Kevin continued to lend his skills at Amalgamated Sugar, where he worked until he officially retired.
A product of Murtaugh High School, Kevin demonstrated a strong work ethic early in life. He was a man of few words, yet his smile was contagious, reflecting his generous spirit and warmth to all around him. He had a profound love for his family, friends, and his country.
Kevin was the proud father of three daughters: Brynn, Afton, and Marissa. He celebrated the arrival of his first daughter, Brynn, at the age of 25. Afton arrived in 1985, and Marissa followed in 1987. He married the mother of his daughters, Claudette, forming a family that was central to his life. Although the couple divorced in 1994, his bond with his daughters remained strong.
On June 30, 2001, he married his second wife, Robyn, gaining two additional stepchildren, Cassandra and Jarad. The pair shared many cherished moments, including their joint effort in feeding the hungry in their community.
Kevin and Robyn had an enduring passion for the outdoors, relishing every opportunity to hunt, fish, and camp. They found immense joy in sitting around a campfire, sharing stories with loved ones, and enjoying the simpler pleasures of life—such as fiddling with items in their yard or relaxing on the patio. Kevin was also an avid sports fan, particularly loving NASCAR and football.
When he got to heaven, Kevin finally got to hold his sweet daughter Marissa again. He is also preceded in death by his father Arlen, his grandson James, his grandmother Etta, and his grandfather Orlin.
His legacy is carried forward by his loving wife, Robyn; daughters Brynn Bean and Afton Larson; stepchildren Jarad Torres and Cassandra Blunt; mother Estel Moss; stepmother Pat Moss; sisters Karie, Kim, Sandy, and Gery; grandchildren Marissa, Oleta, and Rani; and great-grandson Jaden Orth.
A Celebration of Life for Kevin will be held on October 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mountain View Barn in Jerome, Idaho. Kevin Moss will be remembered for his kindness, steadfastness, and the love he imparted to those fortunate enough to know him. His impact on the lives of others will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
