Leland Arthur Mort

Leland Arthur Mort, 77, of Twin Falls, passed away June 1, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. He was born January 22, 1946, in Twin Falls, Idaho the son of Eldon and Gloria Mort. He worked for Rangen in Buhl for several years and eventually retired from there. Leland enjoyed doing puzzles on the computer, playing solitaire, and spending time with his grandchildren on video chat when he could on Facebook and his loving companion Maureen. In addition, he loved to binge-watch Castle on Hulu and was a sci-fi fanatic. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His nickname is Jarbidge Kid and Lee is short for Leland as well. He had a big heart for all he loved from his companion Maureen and his grandkids and great kids and Son who lives in Detroit Michigan. As a child, after his parents divorced, his mom remarried, and he would spend time in Jarbidge, Nevada. He went to junior and high school junior at O'Leary Junior High, which is now gone, and went to California to be with his aunt and uncle and lived with them. There he went to Linden Jr & Sr High in Linden, California, and in Portola, California. He was preceded in death by two brothers - James Mort and John "Bear Creek" Williams, two sons - Jeffrey Lyle Mort and Kevin James Mort, his mother Gloria, and stepdad Johnny Williams. Surviving is his loving companion Maureen McAuley of Twin Falls, his son Micheal Mort of Detroit Michigan, his adopted Daughter Marnie Woodbury who was married to Jeffery Lyle Mort Sisters - June Vance of Twin Falls, and Mary Bess of Jarbidge, Nevada, grandchildren - Christian Michael Mort, Angelina LeeAnn Mort, DeAnna Lynn Tarbet, Jennifer LeeAnn Mort, Mariah Neal, Jeffrey James Mort, Nicholas Gage Mort, Kimbirlli Ann-Nichole Mort, daughter in law Ashli Nicole who was married to Kevin James, ex-wife - Shirley Luke of TwinFalls. Great Grand Children - Paxson Lyle Gascon, SidreAnna Maria Berdin-Mort, Oliver Kevin James Ray, Skylynn Leann Neal Severa, Bryan Joseph Neal Severa, Carson Miles Neal Severa, Ariann Marie Tarbet, Serenity Suzanne Tarbet Ebenezar Eugene Tarbet, Ivory Ann-Marie Tarbet, Madalynn LeeAnn Tarbet, Great Grand Son in law - Timmy, and Cousin Dan Mort. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. in Twin Falls. A Potluck lunch will follow the service. Please bring something so all who want to attend can eat and remember and always remember Leland in your heart.
