Linda "Diane"
Rogers
January 5, 1951 – April 11, 2026
Linda "Diane" Rogers, a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Born on January 5, 1951, in Nampa, Idaho, Diane's warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Diane was a lovable and caring soul, remarkable in her ability to bring joy and smiles to those around her. She embraced life with a spirited blend of sweetness and a dash of spice when needed, creating a unique and loving presence that was deeply appreciated by family and friends alike. Known for her dedication and precision, she excelled at latch hooking, impressively completing projects with remarkable speed. Her love for cooking and baking was well-known in the family, where she delighted in teaching others how to prepare dinners and desserts, passing down traditions and skills with patience and affection.
Her loving nature was complemented by a personal philosophy encapsulated in the phrase, “Good, better, best, never let it rest... Till the good is better and better is the best.” This reflected Diane’s approach to life and her relationships, always striving for improvement not only in herself but in the happiness and well-being of her loved ones. Her devotion shone brightest in her heartfelt words to her daughter, Sarah Rogers-Smith: “I love you to the moon and back,” a constant reassurance delivered day by day.
The light Diane carried into every room was a gift to everyone she encountered. She found joy in giving, which in turn gave joy back to her, embodying the sentiment that she was “like the perfect vacation… wishing it lasted longer and always looked forward to the next visit.” Her presence was a source of comfort and connection, qualities that will be sorely missed yet fondly remembered.
Diane is survived by her sister, Leona Lynskey, her daughter, Sarah Rogers-Smith, her grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Schoonover, and her husband, Michael Rogers.
As those who loved Diane reflect on her life, they remember a woman whose charm and compassion enriched every moment. Her enduring spirit and the memories she created will remain treasured by her family and community, who mourn the loss of a truly special person.
