Norma Lee Ridley

July 17, 1934 — March 26, 2024

Norma Lee Ridley passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, surrounded by many loved ones.

Norma Lee Ridley was born on July 17, 1934, to Helen Louise McCarty Dean and John Carmen Dean in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was one of nine children in their family. Don, Tom, Ella, Ted, Rosemary, Norma, Bill, Dick, and Grace all grew up in Twin Falls on the Dean family farm. Her family nickname was “skins” as that was given to her while they were growing up. She was one to be found in a field or garden, most of the time barefoot. She went to school at Shamrock and later graduated high school from Twin Falls in 1952.

Little did she know she started talking to her future husband when he was in the military with her brother Ted and needed someone to write home to. She was later married to Robert Ridley on November 21, 1952. They later welcomed their 2 sons together. Robert “Bobby” Ridley in 1955 and Steven Ridley in 1957. They were in Hansen for many years and then moved to just outside of Murtaugh on some open land. They then bought a farm together just North of Filer in 1977. Once there, their family worked on the farm and the boys helped with the land.

She is survived by her two sons Robert (Julia) Ridley of Buhl, Steven Ridley of Filer; eight grandchildren, Melissa Brandhagen, Melinda (Jacob) Hammond, Tiffany (Cody) Bridwell, Whitney (Skyler) Collins, Callie (Zach) Yearsley, Casey (Meghann) Ridley, and Jordan and Rachael Ridley. And 17 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren on the way.

She was preceded in death her husband (Robert), daughter-in-law (Lori), parents and many siblings.

Thank you to the Hospice Visions team.
