Pastor D Lynn Bryson

Pastor D. Lynn Bryson, born March 20, 1962 in Riverside, California, passed away December 17, 2025 in Twin Falls, Idaho at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife Debbie, three children, Michael, Matthew (Chloe), and Meleah, and his sister, Robyn Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Arlene Bryson.

Lynn grew up in Roseburg, Oregon, where he attended academy and community college. Lynn completed a Bachelor’s degree in theology at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California, before beginning a Master’s of Divinity at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

During his first year at Andrews, Lynn joined a youth mission trip to Mexico to help build a church. While in Mexico, Lynn and four others were in a plane crash, breaking his back and leaving him in critical condition. By the grace of God, all five survived, and Lynn returned to ministry, preaching and sharing his testimony from a wheelchair. About a year later, doctors discovered a brain tumor, yet once again, God prevailed through a successful surgery and treatments. He remained free from cancer.

During recovery, Lynn met his beautiful wife to be, Debbie Jackson, and they were married in Portland, Oregon in 1990. Lynn and Debbie faithfully served in pastoral ministry for the next 22 years. During this time, they had three children, Michael, Matthew, and Meleah.

In 2012, Lynn and family moved to Michigan so Lynn could finish the Master’s degree interrupted by the plane crash. He graduated with his M.Div in 2016, 30 years after the accident, and returned to ministry in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he served until his death.

Throughout his life and ministry, Lynn shared the gospel message in a powerful way through his testimony of God’s faithfulness in his life. Lynn now sleeps in Christ, awaiting the soon return of our savior, when all will be made new and death will be no more.

A Viewing will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. A Memorial Service for Pastor Bryson will be held in the spring, with those details being posted at a later date. Pastor Bryson will be laid to rest at Twin Falls Cemetery, 2350 4th Ave E., Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
