Ronald Ed Stephens, Sr.

Ronald E. Stephens, 68, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 with complications of pneumonia, with his companion Sandi Schund at his side,a t St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. Ron was born on August 20, 1951 in Harris County, Texas to James Wesley and Louise Stephens. He grew up moving from Louisiana and California. He joined the Navy and went to Vietnam. Upon his return he back to Roofing until his health would not let him continue. In 1995 he met Sandi Schlund and they were together until his passing. She was his caregiver and companion. Ron loved to go camping and fishing. He was a disabled veteran and will be missed by his coffee drinking buddy Colleen. Ron is survived by loves of his life Sandi and his dog TJ of Twin Falls, son Ronnie Stephens of Oklahoma, daughter Lorianne of California, and grandson Billy, sister Denise Thumel of California, brothers - Clyde of Henderson Texas, and James of California and Sandi's son Dirk McCallister. Private family services will be held and he will be memorialized at the Snake River Veterans Cemetery in Buhl. The family would like to thank Lisa and Jennifer from Horizon for their love and care.
