Vickie Kay Franklin

Vickie Kay Franklin, age 66, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 14, 2023 after a very long battle with cancer. Vickie was born in Jerome, Idaho, to Robert and Betty Rice. She graduated from Murtaugh High School. Vickie met the love of her life, Michael Franklin, and married him on January 21, 1973, in Murtaugh, Idaho. Vickie loved to sew and spent many years making beautiful quilts for her friends and family. She became involved in the Relay For Life and helped sew several quilts for this amazing fundraiser. Vickie is survived by her husband, Michael, daughter, Lisa Franklin of Mountain Home, Idaho, 2 granddaughters, Mandra Carter of Salt Lake City, Utah, McKenzie Gillett of Mountain Home, Idaho and 1 grandson, Lewis Gillett of Mountain Home, Idaho, her mother Betty Rice of Twin Falls, Idaho, 2 brothers, William Rice of Murtaugh, Idaho, Jerry (LeeAnn) Rice of Twin Falls, Idaho and several nieces, a nephew and even more great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd in Twin Falls, Idaho on February 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
